Presenting The UK Soul Chart Show every week since 2011 Kevin J has meet and interviewed a number of artists inc Charlie Wilson, Jocelyn Brown, Omar, Incognito’s Bluey, Karyn White, Glen Goldsmith, Joey Negro, Leroy Burgess & L J Reynolds to name just a few.
Kevin J started his musical journey when he learned to play keyboards. He joined his first group back in the early 80s playing keyboards with a Reggae Ska band in Birmingham. He then joined a several Jazz Funk & early house groups, writing and having records released in the dance charts.
Having a great collection of vinyl records he decided to start playing out as a DJ, working in some of the top clubs & bars in the West Midlands. He started radio broadcasting back in 1987 and continues to fill the airwaves with his selection of R&B, smooth jazz, rare & soulful classics with an eclectic mix of modern soulful music. He says “Making many friends through the years by playing music is a great blessing.”Kevin J is recognised as an experienced & professional radio presenter, DJwho knows & loves his music. He also does voice overs in his own studio. Catch him dropping tunes at Soul Steppers and other gigs every month.
