Jackie Jackson & Master KHD are proud to bring their award winning ” Funk Surgery” to a new format as The Lucky Soul Radio Show here on Cruise FM.

Jackie started DJ’ ing in 1978 working as warm-up for Brian Anthony ( radio Jackie) @ the Legendary ‘ Zoom- Zoom ‘ Disco in Sidcup & he even used to get a few tips from Robbie Vincent when he guest appeared !

KHD used to ‘toast’ to reggae dub plates @ the Bouncing Ball in Peckham, where he was ‘ christened ‘ King Honky Dub . They went to Caister with The Sidcup Slummers and the Knebworth Soul All-Dayer, Stage 3, Gold mine, Island Hotel all the all- nighters too.. In the mid 80’s they DJ’d ‘ Dr Crippens’ in Bromley, Goochies in Falconwood & by the early 90’s they were doing ‘ acid ‘ gigs @ The Tunnel Club Woolwich.

Throughout the rest of the 90’s they did session work – KHD Drumming & Jackie Singing but they always retained they’re love of Soul Music in all it’s various forms.

In 2010 they formed Lucky Soul Radio Ltd and with the help of producer Julian Gallagher, reached number 10 after 10 weeks in the UK Soul Charts, with their track – ” The Time ” featuring Angie Brown, since then they have recorded with Conner Reeves & Gabrielle and are currently working on an album. You can hear they’re slightly weird way of looking at things along with an absolute smorgasbord of Soul, Jazz-Funk,The Reggae 5 By 5, 30 Minutes O’ Funk, TV themes & Movie clips all guaranteed to put a smile on the face of people of a certain age.
